Kat Dennings is a Pennsylvanian born in Bryn Mawr on 13 June 1986. She was named Katherine Victoria Litwack. She was the daughter of Ellen, was a speech and poetry therapist, while her dad, Gerald, was a molecular pharmacologist and college professor. Dennings grew up as the youngest in the family of a Jewish home. Dennings went through homeschooling and only attended school briefly. Since she wanted to pursue acting from an early age so the arrangement of homeschooling made the most sense since she was able to finish high school by the age of fourteen. When she was just 9, she had started acting in advertisements. To pursue her acting career, Kat Dennings relocating with her family from the city of her birth to Los Angeles when she finished high-school. Kat Dennings was her name as she began auditioning. Kat Dennings first made an appearance on the HBO series "Sex and the City" In 2000, following her move to LA. Then, she starred in the WB's sitcom "Sex and the City".
