Sharon Yvonne Stone, born on March 10, 1958, in Meadville (Pennsylvania), is her mother's Dorothy Lawson, a former worker at a factory, and Joseph William Stone, a tool and die maker. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her siblings. Stone was thought to be gifted academically as a child and began second grade at five. Saegertown Senior High School in Saegertown Pennsylvania is where she received her diploma in 1975. She also competed at the Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone and her aunt relocated out of New Jersey to New Jersey to begin a modeling career in the year 1977. They signed up for The Ford Modeling Agency after a couple of months. Stone soon moved to Europe and spent a full year with her aunt in Milan as well as Paris. Stone was disillusioned with the world of model in Europe took up acting while living in Europe. At 20, she appeared in the Woody Allen film "Stardust Memories," that received mixed praises.
