Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports as young as fourteen years old. She trained in boxing kickboxing BJJ and wrestling before completing her debut as an amateur at the age of 18 in WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd built on this victory and went on a 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round in all the fights. She went back to WCFC in order to defeat Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous verdict. Aspen was already defeated Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was superior to Aspen in the fight, beating her by unanimous vote. Cynthia's amateur records were marred. Ladd bounced back from defeat in the final by beating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, which brought her record to 8-1. Aspen was a pro-fighter for the first time in 2015 when she signed to Invicta FC. Invicta Fc 11 she dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the the first round via TKO. Invicta 16, she was able to move from Bantamweight to the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen utilized her expertise in wrestling to knock out McGill with a TKO during the third-round (elbows and punches). Aspen then went on to face Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 at a catchweight that was 138.1lb. Ladd was not in a position to make it, but Aspen won and beat Hoy by TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, in a fight against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round at the end of the second. In her second fight, she overcame Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd took over Evinger's fight following the first round. Also, she was awarded the reward for her performance on the night. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Lee match with Eubanks' Sijara was her first fight that she's had in a major way. Ladd took home an unanimous decision in a great back-and forth fight between the two fighters, got an award of Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her winning streak. Following a brief break, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya in UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. She fought Norma Dumont as a substitute for her fight last time with the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was a unanimous decision.
