Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, actress, American screen and stage actor and producer. Her most well-known work is as a film actress for her performances on the films Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She earned the B.A. from African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in theater, film and TV. Her career began in theater and later appeared in several television series and independent and mainstream films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she received critical acclaim and a variety of awards and nominations, among them the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. In 1995 she appeared in her first performance with The Tempest as Ariel. On Broadway she's appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In her film career, she is renowned for her roles in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Her part as a character in the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
